If you get a phone call, ask them to send you an email and ask them to provide you with their Google Partner profile link to confirm they’re actually from google.

Google does not charge to create or maintain a google my business listing. This is the first alert of a scam call. Google will never ask for any payment or personal information in exchange for a service.

One thing you can do to figure out if the phone call or email you’re receiving regarding a google my business listing is a scam or not is by doing your research on what they’re asking for. Analyze the details of the call and double-check their requests.
